It is amazing how much thought goes in to your baby turning one. I don’t think anyone is fully prepared and the emotions are somehow happy and sad, at the same time. I don’t even know what to call the emotions that happen haha.
When thinking about Gray’s birthday, we wanted it to really represent something. Not just a party, but a celebration of who he is, and so Gray’s Great Adventure was born! A celebration of the adventure of his first year, but also his life and all that he will be!
We also asked that everyone hand write a note to Gray that will be given to him on his 18th birthday. We put those aside in a safe place and the first time they will be opened is by Gray on his 18th birthday. I love how many people participated, it is so stinking cool!
Here is a little glimpse of the adventure and our celebration!
We had Gray’s great grandfather (my Poppo), who is a pastor, do a baby dedication for us. It meant so much to commit raising Gray to the Lord in all we do with him and to have everyone there support that and be a part of it.
